  • Car56--many interior vehicle parts are made of PVC and other plastics. Barbie (and other plastic) dolls are made of PVC, also--look it up. There are different additives to make the plastic rigid like pipe or dashboards, or soft and pliable, like dolls or fake leather.

  • What a story! About time there were some "oldest-person-to" stories to balance the many "youngest-person-to" stories. I sure hope there will be pictures posted of this great climber at the top of the world--for the second time, no less.

  • Girdles in the 60s that were coated with latex rubber. They were sold in department stores in cardboard tubes. Imagine wearing latex rubber under 100% polyester dresses or pants, in the days when cars had vinyl seats and most buildings, vehicles and homes did not have air-conditioning.

  • I brush my eyebrows when I'm nervous, it causes the brow hairs to break off or thin. I had no eyebrows left on 09/11/01, I had to draw the brows on with a brow pencil for months.

  • My son (now a young adult, and NOT named "Jason") had three boys in his kindergarten class who could answer to "Jason W.". I think they ended up calling the boys by their full first- and last- names.

  • We got a yellow Lab puppy about a week after seeing the movie "Splash". We named the puppy "Madison" after the mermaid, we thought it was a goofy name from a movie. We got in trouble with grandmas who had "Madison" granddaughters.

  • Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick headed straight for Texas after getting out of prison, and he shows no signs of coming back north. Hope he stays there.
